September 06, 2007- Today I took a risk by gathering information from an infamous website. The website has some general information that isn't really helpful but it goes in depth into a great Mayan acheivement-the Mayan calendar. It is amazing how people such as the Mayans could develop something like a calendar with their primitive technology. The Mayans were well advanced over other tribes, at least in their culture. The Mayans had a decent knowledge of astronomy, mathermatics, and the use of a written language. They also had something that Europeans did not have at the time and that was the concept of Zero.
